AI job matching for the US market

US job listings are plentiful, but a large result set is not the same as a usable one. Role fit must be combined with state, time-zone, remote and work-authorisation constraints before a vacancy earns application time.

Remote can still be state-specific

US employers may hire remotely only in states where they have payroll, tax or regulatory coverage. Some postings list excluded or eligible states; others mention a required time-zone overlap or regular office attendance.

Record where you can work and do not assume a national “remote” label overrides the detailed location section.

Treat work authorisation as a gate

Postings may state whether sponsorship is available, unavailable or considered only for certain roles. This is a practical eligibility question, not a small scoring feature.

Use the employer’s latest wording and answer application questions accurately. A matching tool cannot grant eligibility or infer an exception the employer has not published.

Compare level through scope

US titles vary widely between startups, public companies and sectors. Compare ownership, team influence, budget, customer type and decision authority instead of assuming that the same title always means the same seniority.

  • Individual contribution versus people management
  • Execution versus strategy ownership
  • Team, budget or revenue scope
  • Regional versus national responsibilities
  • Required domain, licence or regulated experience

How MatchRadar supports US searches

MatchRadar supports candidates targeting the United States as well as Europe. It compares fresh postings with the CV and confirmed preferences, then provides a reasoned shortlist rather than an automatic application queue.

The product does not promise complete market coverage or employer outcomes. Always inspect the original listing for current salary, eligibility and application details.

Common questions

Can I use MatchRadar from outside the USA?

You can target US roles, but each employer’s location and work-authorisation requirements still decide whether a particular role is actionable.

Does remote mean all 50 states?

No. Employers may restrict hiring to selected states or time zones even when the role is labelled remote.

Does a match confirm visa sponsorship?

No. Use the original posting and employer application questions as the authority on sponsorship.
